Ecowitt/Froggit stations: new AWEKAS Ecowitt interface
Ecowitt-compatible stations (also Froggit) send directly in the Ecowitt format. The station is identified only by its MAC address – no username or password is needed in the station anymore.
Step 1 – add the MAC address to your AWEKAS account:
1. Log in at https://www.awekas.at/en/benutzer.php
2. Select your station model with the suffix "(Ecowitt)" as hardware model.
3. Enter the MAC address of the station or gateway in the new field (found in the Ecowitt app / WS View Plus under the device settings) and save.
Step 2 – set up the upload in the app ("Customized"):
- Customized: Enable
- Protocol Type Same As: Ecowitt
- Server IP / Hostname: ecowitt.awekas.at
- Path: /
- Port: 80
- Upload Interval: e.g. 60 seconds
Please use "Customized" – the AWEKAS entry in the Ecowitt app's service list still uses the old Wunderground protocol.
